Letter: Bring on the Bears; hit a home run

Bring the Yakima Bears to Vancouver. With the void that the Beavers left in Portland, Clark County is in the perfect position to bring in some revenue and good family entertainment to the area in one easy motion. The Clark County commissioners need to look at the larger picture and beyond the immediate cost. Ball games (of which the Bears have 38 home games and said they would not play any home games on July 4), local concerts, local sports games/tournaments, etc. … it seems like a nonissue to be arguing, but here we are. I would rather spend a few hours outside in the ballpark bonding with my family, than sitting quietly in a movie theater for two hours of wasted time.

If our current commissioners won’t bring professional baseball here, then we should get new leaders who have some vision.
