A teenager who drowned in Woodland’s Horseshoe Lake was identified Tuesday by Cowlitz County authorities as Jesus Orlando Gomez Beltran.

Beltran, 16, was a Woodland resident.

Witnesses say he swam to a buoy Monday afternoon and got into trouble while returning to shore. Another swimmer was unable to save him. Divers found the body about an hour later.
