Letter: Herrera Beutler should support CRC

The Columbian
Published: July 7, 2011, 12:00am

U.S. Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Camas, campaigned for office promising that she would support jobs for this Congressional district. There is only one current opportunity for thousands of jobs, and that is the Columbia River Crossing. She was elected on her promise of jobs. Her campaign promises regarding jobs can be met only through the Congresswoman’s strong support of the bridge project.

Many citizens are frustrated by the lack of leadership in Washington, D.C. Here in this Congressional district, we need a representative for us and the future of our community, not a representative for interests in the other Washington.

We need congressional representation that supports a bridge to our future.
