PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A judge has ordered a teenage murder suspect to remain held without bail until his trial in the shooting death of his girlfriend.

The Oregonian reports Multnomah County Judge Richard Baldwin made the ruling Thursday morning after more than a day of testimony.

Authorities say Parrish Bennette Jr. fatally shot his girlfriend in mid-March and then hid her body. Yashanee Vaughn was reported missing by her mother on March 21 and has not been seen since.

Bennette faces first-degree murder with a firearm and first-degree manslaughter with a firearm in Vaughn’s death. He has pleaded not guilty.

Police found blood matching Vaughn’s on the walls and floorboard of Bennette’s Northeast Portland home
