PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The state of Oregon has ordered an emergency closure of fishing of spring Chinook on the Imhana River.
The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife ordered the closure to go into effect at sundown on Saturday.
The Chinook quota was nearly met last weekend, as a four-fish bag limit was put in place to make up for poor fishing conditions earlier in the season.
The department has left the nearby Wallowa River fishery open to spring Chinook.
