INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Travis Pastrana sees no limits to his possible accomplishments.

He’s getting ready to make his NASCAR Nationwide debut next week in Indianapolis, and on Thursday Pastrana said he also intends to take IndyCar’s $5 million challenge.

Pastrana has captured 16 gold medals in the X Games and has won multiple supercross, motocross and American rally championships. On July 15, Pastrana finished 22nd in his debut in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East at Loudon, N.H.

Now he has bigger plans.

After the July 30 Nationwide race, Pastrana wants to compete in IndyCar’s season-ending event at Las Vegas. IndyCar CEO Randy Bernard has offered $5 million to any driver from another series who can win the Oct. 16 race. It’s a challenge Pastrana couldn’t pass up.
