LOS ANGELES (AP) — Washington Nationals catcher Ivan Rodriguez has experienced a setback that is expected to delay his return to the roster at least another week.

The 14-time All-Star and 13-time Gold Glove winner has been sidelined since July 7 because of an oblique strain on his right side. He has been taking early batting practice this week, twice in Houston and again at Dodger Stadium on Friday, but still isn’t right. He was eligible to come off the 15-day disabled list Friday.

Manager Davey Johnson said Rodriguez will travel to Miami and continue to rehab under the guidance of a physical therapist who works with the NBA’s Heat, someone he has known for years and has a lot of confidence in.
