OSLO, Norway (AP) — Norway’s security service is to issue a new evaluation of the threat posed by extremists in the wake of last week’s twin terror attacks.

Police spokesman Oystein Maeland said Friday the new assessment would be released later in the day, but he did not give details.

Since the bombing and shooting massacre that killed at least 76 people on July 22, questions have persisted about whether authorities underestimated extremist dangers.

The man who has confessed to both attacks was vehemently opposed to immigration and the country’s left-leaning governing party.
