The Health Professions Quality Assurance office of the state Department of Health recently took disciplinary actions or has withdrawn charges against these Clark County health care providers.
In May, the Nursing Commission denied the application of registered nurse applicant Betty Marie Stone. In 2010 the Tennessee Board of Nursing revoked her privileges to work in Tennessee, and the Arizona State Board of Nursing censured her registered nursing license in Arizona.
In June, the Nursing Assistant program terminated the order of probation against registered nursing assistant Leann C. Wilcowski.
In June, the Nursing Commission charged registered nurse Warren B. Kertland with unprofessional conduct. In August 2010 he was allegedly found disoriented in a parking lot, and tested positive for benzodiazepines, cannabinoids, and opiates. He allegedly failed to respond to Department of Health inquiries about the allegations.
In July, the Emergency Medical Services and Trauma Systems Program entered into an agreed order with paramedic Richard L. Wilson and placed his certification on probation for one year. He engaged in sexual intercourse with a minor patient’s mother. He must comply with terms and conditions set against his certification.
