COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — Kyle Simon threw a four-hit shutout, keeping Arizona alive in the College Station Regional with a 13-0 victory over Wright State on Saturday.
After Arizona (37-20) failed to score in its tournament-opening loss to Seton Hall, the Wildcats got their offense going with a six-run fourth inning against the Raiders (36-19).
Simon (11-3) struck out six, while Jett Bandy led the Wildcats with three RBIs. Bryce Ortega and Robert Refsnyder each had three hits.
Casey Henn (7-4) allowed seven runs — four earned — and seven hits in 3 2-3 innings for Wright State, which was outscored 24-0 in its two regional losses.
