Wolff, Durham win Gowdy Media Awards



SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) — Alexander Wolff, a writer at Sports Illustrated for three decades, and Jim Durham, a commentator for the NBA on ESPN Radio, have been selected to receive the Curt Gowdy Media Awards from the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

The award is named in honor of the legendary sports broadcaster and former Hall of Fame Board member and president and is presented annually to members of the print and electronic media whose longtime efforts have made a significant contribution to basketball.

The awards, which were announced Thursday, will be presented during Enshrinement Weekend from Aug. 11-12.
