SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Video of a University of New Mexico football player who was arrested after wearing saggy pants onto a plane at San Francisco airport shows him insisting that his pants were up and he had done nothing wrong.
The video shows part of the exchange between 20-year-old Deshon Marman and what appears to be a US Airways crew member and a San Francisco police officer Wednesday.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports that it obtained the video from a passenger seated near Marman. A link was on the newspaper’s website Saturday.
Police have said Marman refused to pull up his pants and leave the plane.
Marman was taken into custody on suspicion of trespassing, battery of a police officer and obstruction. Prosecutors have until July 18 to charge him.
