Bagley Downs — The Young Women in Action program at Roosevelt Elementary culminated in a service project to plant herbs and flowers in the raised bed at the Jim Parsley Community Center. The plants were donated by the horticulture programs at Lewis and Clark and Fort Vancouver high schools.

Barbara Nordstrom, Washington State University master gardener and YWIA mentor, headed the project with YWIA mentors from American Association of University Women-Vancouver Branch. The nine-week program was sponsored by the Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools.
