Woman’s car crashes into WA house, she’s injured

NEWCASTLE, Wash. (AP) — Police in Newcastle, Wash., say a car crashed through a fence and into the back of a home in the community east of Seattle. Police say the woman driver was removed from the car and taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with serious injuries.

KOMO reports there were children in the home when the car crashed Thursday afternoon but they were not hurt.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
