SALEM, Ore. (AP) — Oregon State Police say a transient man driving a pickup truck with a flat tire crashed into two parked vehicles at an Interstate Highway 5 rest area and then tried to set his truck on fire while yelling at a crowd. No one was injured in the Monday incident.

Police say 26-year-old Dustin J. Hilsenbeck had earlier blown out a tire when he struck aluminum that had fallen into southbound lanes near Salem.

Police say Hilsenback drove to a rest area, lost control, collided with two parked vehicles and poured gasoline onto his truck.

Hilsenbeck said he was going to set his truck on fire but he didn’t have a lighter.

State police say Hilsenbeck admitted to having taken methamphetamine and was arrested on a number of counts.
