SPANAWAY, Wash. (AP) — A Lakewood police officer has been injured in an overnight crash near Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
KIRO-TV reports the officer was chasing a speeder when the patrol car left the road and went into a ditch.
The officer is recovering at Tacoma General Hospital.
The speeding driver got away.
