Volunteer sought for preservation group

Clark County — Clark County has an opening on the five-member Historic Preservation Commission.

Members serve three-year terms. The term begins in July.

The commission, which reviews nominations for the National Register of Historic Places and the Clark County Heritage Register, along with overseeing education and outreach, meets at 6 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month.

Applicants must demonstrate interest, experience or knowledge in history, historic preservation, architecture or related disciplines.

To apply, submit a letter of interest and a résumé to Jennifer Clark, Board of County Commissioners, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, WA 98666-5000. Or e-mail jennifer.clark@clark.wa.gov. The deadline to apply is April 13.
