KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Doug Wiggins made five free throws in the final 47.6 seconds and Mountain State held off Georgetown College 69-63 to reach the finals of the NAIA Division I tournament.

The third-seeded Cougars (33-3) from Kentucky will take on unseeded Pikeville on Tuesday for the championship.

Georgetown (32-5) led by 10 in the second half, but couldn’t hold off Mountain State’s determined surge down the stretch.

A rebound basket by 7-foot-1 center David Nyarsuk put Mountain State ahead 60-59 and Tay Spann followed with a baseline drive that made it a three-point lead with 2:44 remaining.

Nyarsuk, Wiggins and Cam Miller led the Cougars with 14 points each and Winston Robinson had a team-high 12 rebounds.

Rodney Haddix finished with 24 points for Georgetown and Vic Moses had a team-high 12 rebounds.
