MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Lisa Stone has been fired as women’s basketball coach at Wisconsin after eight seasons and just one appearance in the NCAA tournament.
Stone’s record was 128-119. The team lost in the first round of last year’s NCAA tournament, and finished this season with a 16-15 record.
Athletic director Barry Alvarez said Monday that the program did not live up to expectations.
