DALLAS (AP) — The Dallas Stars have called up veteran defenseman Brad Lukowich from their primary affiliate in the AHL.

Lukowich cleared re-entry waivers Tuesday, sending him from the Texas Stars to Dallas, where he won a Stanley Cup in 1999 during a five-year stint that ended in 2002. He won another Stanley Cup with Tampa Bay in 2004.

The 34-year-old played in 67 games for the Texas Stars after signing with Dallas as a free agent last summer. Lukowich spent part of last season with the Texas Stars as well. He also played 13 games with Vancouver in 2009-10.

In 653 career NHL games, Lukowich has 23 goals and 90 assists. He played 224 games in his first Dallas stint.
