ALBANY, Ore. (AP) — An 18-year-old Brownsville man home on spring break told police he woke up Monday morning to find a burglar had entered his family’s home, walked into his bedroom and reached past his head to steal his iPod.

But first, the burglar said hello.

The Albany Democrat Herald reports Brandon McManus watched in shock as the man stole his music player and said “Hey, how’s it going.”

McManus says he sat up and tripped over blankets in pursuit of the burglar, who had already left the house.

Police say the McManus house was one of at least three burglarized in the Brownsville area.
