GOODYEAR, Ariz. (AP) — The Cincinnati Reds have taken another hit to their starting rotation, losing right-hander Homer Bailey because of a shoulder problem.

General manager Walt Jocketty said Friday that Bailey felt something in his shoulder during his last start. Tests found he has some limited movement.

Bailey is expected to rest for a week. He will open the season on the disabled list along with right-handed starter Johnny Cueto, who has mild inflammation in his shoulder.

Earlier in the day, starter Bronson Arroyo said he was tested for a fungal infection in his lungs. Arroyo has been sick for more than 10 days, and doctors think he might have valley fever, which is treated with rest and drugs.
