PHOENIX (AP) — The Pac-10 has a new network to go with its monster television deal.

The Pac-10 announced the launch of its own television network on Wednesday, a venture made possible by a 12-year joint deal with ESPN and Fox worth about $3 billion.

The TV deal, the richest in college sports at about $250 million per year, will go into effect in 2012 and allow the conference to televise every football and men’s basketball game.

The Pac-12 Network and its digital network will show some football games and about 120 in men’s basketball, along with women’s basketball and Olympic sports within the conference.

The conference will be renamed the Pac-12 in July with the addition of Utah and Colorado.
