LAS VEGAS (AP) — The organizers of the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas say they’re not sure how indictments of executives at three major online poker operators will affect its tournaments this summer, but if players can’t access online bankrolls they might not be able to enter.

Executive Director Ty Stewart told reporters during a conference call Wednesday that the series’s main concern is whether players will be able to pull together cash for pricey entry fees. The series hosts 58 tournaments starting later this month with buy-ins ranging from $1,000 to $50,000.

Stewart says the series has weathered negative developments in the past, including the passage of a 2006 law that made online poker illegal and the Great Recession.

Stewart says any serious player with money will be at the series.
