The Friends of Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge will present the Pacific Northwest premiere of a film about the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge at 7 p.m. Friday in Ridgefield.

“America’s Wildest Refuge” was filmed for the 50th anniversary of the nearly 20 million acres of land and water set aside for conservation. The 60-minute documentary will be shown at the Old Liberty Theater, 115 N. Main Ave.

Robin West, an official with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, will introduce the film and share some of his experiences working at the arctic refuge.

Local photographers Darren and Becky Conerly will show a trailer of their current project, a nature film about the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge.

The $10 admission fee and proceeds from a raffle and a wine tasting will go to the Friends of Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge for educational programs at the refuge.
