NEW YORK (AP) — The pricey bail plan for Dominique Strauss-Kahn has hit a snag.
A person familiar with the negotiations over the former International Monetary Fund head’s bail says initial plans for Strauss-Kahn’s house arrest fell through because of objections from within the building.
The person spoke on condition of anonymity to The Associated Press because the negotiations were still ongoing.
The person says other options for Strauss-Kahn’s release are being discussed.
Strauss-Kahn’s lawyers posted $1 million cash bail Friday and said they hoped he would still be released from Rikers Island later Friday. A judge granted him bail and a strict house arrest on Thursday.
