ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — The parent group of the company that contracted with five commercial clam diggers found dead this week has set up a memorial fund to help the families.

The president and CEO of Pacific Seafood Group says the five were considered close friends, and the priority now is to help their families. The names of the five have not been released. However, Frank Dulcich said Thursday that three were from Oregon and two were from California.

The men went missing Tuesday while traveling in a 20-foot skiff near Polly Creek. Their bodies have been recovered.

An account has been set up at the Wells Fargo bank in Clackamas, Ore. Donations should be made to the Polly Creek Clam Diggers Memorial Fund.
