INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Penske Racing driver Ryan Briscoe crashed early in Saturday’s Indianapolis 500 practice session.
He was taken by ambulance to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s medical center. The rear of Briscoe’s car was severely damaged.
Qualifying for the race on May 29 is later in the day.
