'Suspicious': Body found by I-5 in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, Ore. (AP) -- The Linn County Sherriff's office says a body was found in a sleeping bag near a drainage ditch by Interstate 5 and investigators are calling the death "suspicious."

The Eugene Register-Guard reports that a man looking for his cat found the body Friday morning by the freeway in Harrisburg.

Lane County Sheriff Tim Mueller says the cause of death has yet to be determined. By Friday afternoon, investigators had not determined if the body was that of a man or woman -- an autopsy was pending.
