SEATTLE (AP) — Investigators have arrested 13 people and seized hundreds of thousands of dollars in what authorities describe as a major Washington state drug ring.
The arrests were made Tuesday morning after a federal grand jury returned an indictment charging the defendants with conspiracy distribute controlled substances; distribution of cocaine, MDMA, methamphetamine and marijuana; and conspiracy to engage in money laundering.
The indictment says they operated in King, Pierce, Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom counties as well as elsewhere. It provides few details of the operation, but it does seek to have $622,000 seized as part of the investigation turned over to the government, along with properties in Burien, Enumclaw, Lynnwood, Bothell and several properties in the Spokane area.
