LOS ANGELES (AP) — The lawyer for the man suspected of brutally beating a San Francisco Giants fan at Dodger Stadium in March says his client never went to the game that day.
Chip Matthews, who is representing Giovanni Ramirez, told The Associated Press Tuesday that his client is willing to take a polygraph test to show he was not at the stadium when Bryan Stow was viciously attacked.
Matthews says Ramirez spent the day at his aunt’s house with several family members who are willing to testify he was with them.
Forty-two-year-old Stow remains in critical but stable condition under heavy sedation to prevent seizures caused by the traumatic brain injury he suffered in the March 31 attack.
Police arrested Ramirez over the weekend, but charges have not yet been filed against him.
