Letter: Bible has the best information

It amazes me how many people carry the name “Christian” and know little of what Christ said.

Mr. “Apocalypse Missed” Harold Camping, like many others who predict a doomsday message, needs to read Acts 1:7 “It is not for you to know times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority.” Read Matthew 24:42 “Be on the alert for you do not know the day your Lord will come;” verse 37, “For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah;” verse 39, “… they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away, so shall the coming of the Son of Man be;” verse 36, “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.”

Read Matthew 24:4-5: “See to it that no one misleads you, for many will come in My name saying, I am the Christ, and will mislead many;” and verse 13, “But the one who endures to the end … shall be saved.”
