Nearly 800 homes were without power Friday morning in the Amboy/Yacolt area.

Clark Public Utilities reported 795 customers were without power from 9 to 9:45 a.m. The outage occurred in the area of Northeast 379th Street and Highway 503, said Erica Erland, Clark PUD spokeswoman.

Failed voltage regulators along the line tripped the breaker. Crews switched the breaker back on and walked the line looking for problems, Erland said.

Crews haven’t identified what caused the regulators to fail, she said.

This was the second outage in as many days. About 700 people in Washougal were without power Thursday morning when a switch failed.
