Report: several people fall ill at Portland church

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- A Portland fire spokesman says firefighters and a hazardous materials team have responded to reports that several people have fallen ill at a northeast Portland church.
Spokesman Paul Corah says five people were taken to area hospitals Tuesday night and three more were being treated by medics at Northeast Baptist Church.
He says firefighters are trying to determine what caused the symptoms.
