EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — October is finally over and No. 15 Michigan State came out of it OK despite a tough schedule.
The Spartans beat Ohio State, Michigan and Wisconsin before losing last weekend to Nebraska, and they enter the home stretch tied for first in the Big Ten’s Legends Division. Compared with the last few weeks, Saturday’s home game against Minnesota might seem like a breather.
The Golden Gophers (2-6, 1-3 Big Ten) showed just how dangerous they can be when they upset Iowa last weekend.
The Spartans (6-2, 3-1) are tied in the standings with Michigan and Nebraska and can ill afford a slip-up, especially at home.
