INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Wade Markley threw two touchdown passes to help Butler beat Davidson 17-7 on Saturday.

Markley found Stuart Harvey for a 6-yard score in the second quarter and Matt Jenson for a 24-yard TD in the third quarter for the Bulldogs (6-4, 4-3 Pioneer League), who won in their home season finale. Markley was 15 of 22 for 168 yards with no interceptions and Butler committed no turnovers.

Davidson (2-7, 0-6) dominated the statistics, with a 26-12 edge in first downs. Jonathan Carkhuff threw for 303 yards, completing 37 of 47 attempts, and Chris Gorman gained 112 yards in 20 carries. But Carkhuff was intercepted three times, twice inside the 10-yard line, and the Wildcats could only score on Carkhuff’s 16-yard TD pass to Gorman.

Zach Watkins caught five passes for 90 yards and David Lang kicked a 23-yard field goal for Butler.
