Community members can share their thoughts on Washington State University Vancouver’s chancellor search at a forum 4 p.m. Monday.

The gathering in the Dengerink Administration Building will discuss what WSUV should look for in a chancellor and what he or she should know about the campus and community.

The forum will be moderated by Gay Selby, associate clinical professor in education and chair of the 17-member chancellor search committee.

H.A. “Hal” Dengerink, WSU Vancouver’s founding chancellor, retired in August and died in September.

The chancellor is the campus CEO and reports to the WSU president. The chancellor provides direction for all campus programs, activities and services, and is responsible for academic leadership, fiscal management and the physical and human resource development of the growing campus.

For information, go to http://admin.vancouver.wsu.edu/chancellor-search; there also is a link for public comment.

WSUV is at 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave., just east of the Interstate 5/I-205 interchange. Parking is available at meters or for $3 in the Blue Pay Lot.
