TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Oral Roberts senior guard Ken Holdman is likely lost for the season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

The school said Tuesday that team doctors confirmed Holdman was injured during Sunday’s exhibition game against Northeastern State. Coach Scott Sutton says he hopes surgery and rehabilitation will go well and that Holdman will return next year.

Holdman, a 6-foot guard from Tulsa, led the Summit League with 1.3 steals per game last season. Oral Roberts opens the regular season Friday at West Virginia.
