ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings are taking their push for a new stadium to the airwaves.

The team is launching an ad campaign it says will run for several weeks, with the first TV spots scheduled to air during ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” matchup between the Vikings and Green Bay Packers.

The team says the campaign will “arm fans and supporters with the facts” and “remind everyone what the Vikings mean to Minnesota.” It will include radio, print and online ads.

The Vikings are asking Minnesota lawmakers to help pay for a new stadium to replace the Metrodome.
