SAN DIEGO (AP) — The San Diego Chargers have signed offensive lineman Tony Moll to a one-year contract and released rookie linebacker Darryl Gamble.

Moll played in 60 games from 2006-10 with the Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens. He also spent training camp with Jacksonville this season. Moll has started 12 games at right guard, seven at right tackle and two at tight end.

The Chargers are short of offensive linemen after left tackle Marcus McNeill and right guard Louis Vazquez were hurt in Thursday night’s loss to Oakland. Additionally, left guard Kris Dielman has missed three straight games with a concussion.

Gamble played in three games after making the opening-day roster as a free agent.

The Chargers announced the moves on Tuesday.
