HELENA, Mont. (AP) — Montana Lottery officials say an Arlington, Wash., man claimed a $50,000 Powerball prize won with a ticket he purchased in Great Falls.

Ernest Nicholson III bought his ticket for Saturday’s drawing at the Holiday Stationstore on 3rd Street Northwest. Nicholson says he’s in Montana installing fiber optic cable for Optimum, formerly Bresnan Communications.

He says his wife has a few plans for the money and he figures it’ll come in handy for paying some bills and for the upcoming holidays.

Nicholson says he’s hoping his work in Great Falls wraps up this week so he can be home for Thanksgiving.
