RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina State hosts seventh-ranked Clemson on Saturday knowing it has to win the last two games to become bowl eligible.

The Wolfpack (5-5, 2-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) lost last week at Boston College. And with two wins against Championship Subdivision teams, N.C. State must beat the Tigers (9-1, 6-1) then beat Maryland next weekend.

Coach Tom O’Brien says his team has “dug ourselves a big hole” and has to find a way out.

The Tigers have already wrapped up the league’s Atlantic Division title and a spot in the ACC title game in Charlotte on Dec. 3. But coach Dabo Swinney says his team needs to be focused as it tries “to go from good to great.”
