CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Jordan Theodore had 18 points and Herb Pope had 17 points and 10 rebounds as Seton Hall advanced to the Charleston Classic championship game with a 78-70 victory over Saint Joseph’s on Friday night.

Theodore had just six points and Pope only four in the first half as the Hawks (2-1) led by as many as 10 points. But the Pirates (3-0) got it going in the second half, overcoming a career-best, 38-point performance by Hawks guard Carl Jones.

Pope hit his first 3-pointer of the season as Seton Hall moved in front 52-51. He had another basket three minutes later to put the Pirates ahead for good.

Fuquan Edwin added 17 points and Aaron Cosby 13 for Seton Hall, which will face Northwestern for the championship Sunday night.
