King’s Way falls to Odessa-Harrington in 1B playoffs

CENTRALIA — King’s Way Christian first trip to the 1B state 8-man football playoffs was a short one as the Knights were eliminated by Odessa-Harrington 76-36 on Saturday in the quarterfinal round.

Odessa-Harrington (8-3), located just outside of Moses Lake, was up 40-16 at halftime.

Jay Becker threw three touchdown passes for King’s Way (8-2) and ran for another.

Becker was 20 of 29 for 223 yards passing and also rushed for 121 yards. He had 10 tackles on defense.

Chris Crenshaw caught two TD passes from Becker on plays of 12 and 29 yards. He had nine receptions for 108 yards.

Cody Crippner caught seven passes for 109 yards and a 29-yard TD. He also led King’s Way on defense with 15 tackles.
