DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) — JP Kuhlman scored 11 of his 16 points in the second half, in which Davidson held Presbyterian to 23 points, in a 68-54 win on Monday night.

The Wildcats (3-1) led 37-31 at halftime before outrebounding the Blue Hose 20-9 and outscoring them 8-2 on second-chance points in the final 20 minutes.

Presbyterian (3-3) led 31-28 on Khalid Mutakabbir’s free throws with 4:41 left in the half. But Davidson answered with nine straight to end the half, including six by Nik Cochran. Davidson wouldn’t trail the rest of the way and stretched its lead to as many as 16 twice in the second half.

Cochran finished with 16 points and De’Mon Brooks added 15 for Davidson.

Al’Lonzo Coleman led the Blue Hose with 13 points. Mutakabbir was held to 10 points after scoring 25 in a 56-54 win Saturday against Cincinnati, then ranked No. 20.
