Police arrest man suspected in multiple gropings

PARKLAND, Wash. (AP) -- A man who police say is suspected of groping at least eight women in the Parkland area has been arrested.

Pierce County Sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer says the man was taken into custody by deputies Wednesday night. He was located with help from the Pacific Lutheran University security staff.

Police did not release further details about the suspect.

Authorities say that in most of the incidents between Oct. 30 and Nov. 20 victims were walking alone when they were approached from behind and assaulted.
