FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) — Shane Gibson scored 16 points, including a pair of jumpers that put Sacred Heart ahead to stay in its 77-64 victory over Brown on Sunday.

The Pioneers (4-3) led by as many as 15 points in the first half but trailed 54-51 with 10:12 remaining in the game after Stephen Albrecht hit his fourth 3-pointer of the second half for the Bears (3-4).

Gibson’s basket at the 8:26 mark cut the margin to 54-53, and he struck again 31 seconds later to give the Pioneers the lead.

Albrecht led all scorers with 23 points and was 6 of 12 from 3-point range. Sean McGonagill added 13 points for Brown.

Sacred Heart’s Steve Glowiak came off the bench to score all nine of his points in the first half, including two jumpers that started a 16-2 run after the game was tied at 15.
