Boys basketball: Woodland 56, Three Rivers Christian 49

At Woodland 56, Three Rivers Christian 49 — Harley Bean scored 20 points off the bench and Troy Flanagan spearheaded the defensive effort as the young Beavers overcame a 19-10 deficit after the first quarter to win their season opener.

Tannyr Knight added 11 points, Tanner Huddleston had 10 and Flanagan scored nine for a Woodland team that starts four sophomores and a freshman.

Josh Caddel scored 18 points and Sean Powell had 14 for Three Rivers Christian, of Kelso.
