BREMERTON, Wash. (AP) — The Kitsap County coroner’s office says a 28-year-old Bremerton man took his own life by breathing hydrogen sulfide fumes.

The Kitsap Sun reports (http://bit.ly/qgSvsx) it may be the area’s first so-called “detergent suicide,” using household products to mix a deadly gas.

The body of Anthony J. Klocke was found Sunday in his pickup truck in a church parking lot. He had posted a note in the window warning of a deadly gas. Emergency responders in hazmat suits opened the truck and found a container of chemicals.
