Nadal beats Fish to reach Japan Open final

TOKYO (AP) — Top-seeded Rafael Nadal beat Mardy Fish 7-5, 6-1 on Saturday and advance to the Japan Open final.

The match was on serve until the 11th game in the opening set, when Nadal broke and then served out to love at Ariake Colosseum.

Nadal, the defending champion, won 85 percent of his second serve points in the match that lasted 1 hour, 35 minutes. He broke Fish in the first and third games of the second set and held serve throughout.

Andy Murray faced David Ferrer in the second semifinal.
